Concur w/ Jimmy and Chris - use the E28 bearing and swap the rings over, just make sure the ring is placed at the right depth.

Agreed, but not only placed at the right depth but also that the ABS rings are clean
(glass beading is the best thing here) of rust, grunge etc, and that you use some green sleeve retainer to insure they stay put.

Hello all,

I have been contacted by my local BMW dealer here in the UK who are looking for a pair of front wheel bearings for a late E30 M3 they are restoring. Unfortunately I can't help with new ones and BMW do not have a delivery date. The restoration is being held up because of this.

Anyone know anywhere we can get hold of 2 brand new front wheel bearings?

Paul, give Kirby at C3BMW a call they usually keep them in stock.

Also GSF keep the E28 ones which like others have said need the ABS rings swapping over. My advice would be to go for their best quality items.

As an alternative (which will probably be cheaper) you can use an E28 front wheel bearing but you will have to swap out the ABS rings.

I assume they know about just using an E28 bearing and swapping the ABS rings?
Those are a dime a dozen...
Cant imagine they cant find a pair of those.
