Interstate and a C-tek battery tender for the winter.
Who knows where I'll be, changes from day to Continent.

I can't wait for my duralast to go so I can get a braille. ~13lbs of weight savings. But it's a bit pricey and requires a "custom tray".

I've been happy with Interstate...I also replaced the vent tubing and collection box. Good time to do some maintenance in the battery tray area as well.

interstate mT-47. weighs about 12 pounds less than the stock battery but you'll have to fab up some kind of custom tie down. What I did was I wrapped a ratchet strap around the battery, under the tray, and tightened it down with a block of wood between the ratchet mechanism and the battery.

I want something that doesnt require modification to the tray and mount system. I will look into interstate.

Not trying to thread jack, but do you guys have pics of your custom setups for lighter batteries?
                    Thanks,

My car came with a brand new Bosch unit. But if I were to purchase another, I'd go to Costco! They would claim that they don't have your battery if you were to call them and ask (they don't carry batteries for European cars) but if you take your old battery there you can look and compare in the rack and find one that fits the size and cold cranking amps and then you are set. They'll buy your old battery for 10 bucks

and they give 3 year free replacement warranty and DO NOT CHECK to see if your battery is in fact bad. They are not setup for it. They will refund you the full amount so you can buy another battery.

CarQuest batteries are made by Penn and are the last USA-made battery you can get.

I'd be looking for an Odyssey battery myself. Its sealed and can't off-gas. They can be deep cycled and seem to be solid long lasting batteries.
