  • Need Help diagnosing

I know this is pretty boring for this group, but anyone give me insight into diagnosing my cruise control? I want to go to O-Fest, and would need cruise for the 18+ hours of driving!

I checked column switch, brake switch, clutch switch, and have swapped out computers (3x) and actualtors (2x)with good parts, but still nothing. Grrr!

What am I missing? Is there a signal it's not getting from the speed sensor or something? TIA!
What??? an E30 M3 for sale??? I'll be right there!!!

This may be too simple, but did you check all the fuses?

            Ah,
I didn't know it was you. I do know better than that.
I'm just not down with all the screen names. I'm not very covert with mine.
I have some of the cruise control stuff off of my car if you want to try it out.

P.S., cruise control is for wimps.

Check stuff with a multimeter if you haven't already for signals and power. Especially check the grounds and obviously the fuse. Usually electrical stuff goes bad a connectors or grounds. In my case the cruise was never used much so the unit never wore out.
