  • E30 M3 Group A Motorsport Manual

    Hi All,

Just wanted to know if there is an online version of the group A M3 workshop Manual?

I moved homes and found I had a hard copy of the full manual.

Didn't end up with the race car I had so often dreamt of, so the bound manual has just been in storage.

    Best,

Hi. I've added some M3 racing documents here. That one isn't there specifically. It would be a good doc to share. I can host it for free if you want.

            Hi Guru,

Where in the states are you?

Im UK based - would probably be expensive to send this stateside due to size and weight, but am willing to if necessary.

Am speaking to a printing company about making this available electronically, but will take time.

If theres anyone UK based who knows a quicker, cheaper way to digitise this, please post.

The manual is in english, and details the build of every part on a group A car.

Came in useful when I was rebuilding my S14 engine.

              Adil,

IMO the quickest / least expensive way to digitize is:

              1. Remove the spiral binder
              2. Use a mufti-function printer with an auto-feed for the scan / copy function. You will have to do this twice to capture both sides of the pages
              3. Scan in grayscale at 300ppi
              4. Scan to PDF format
              5. M3guru and others (me included) can give you anonymous FTP access (upload) to hosting or LJames can give you log-in info to the S14 DropBox
              6. Someone (me included) can stitch together the PDF pages and optimize for distribution
              7. A print shop local to you can rebind your original document for under $10 US
              8. Seal that sucker in a zip-lock bag or something similar

              HTH

                Gentlemen,

This is already in my dropbox folder and shared. If you want to be included into the share, please send me a PM. Lots of other cool stuff in the folder. Please note when sharing the folder, you are sharing with everyone else. If you make a change in the folder, it changes everyone's! :HeadsSpinning:

                        Thanks L James,

This was what I was trying to ascertain.

Thank you for your suggested method Mark.

No need for it to be copied - it will be on my book shelf if ever needed.

                        Best,

If it is the Group A parts catalogue, then it's already available as a pdf file. I know I have it somewhere on one of my computers.

                            Hi Lee,

It also includes the instructions on how to build the vehicle - so following the pages from the crankshaft it details how to reassemble it also.

I will PM LJames and compare them both.

                            Best,

                            Adil

                              Hi all,

Can safely assume the manual is available online.

If the mods care to lock this thread, please do.
