  • Outer ball joint replacement

I am seeing alot of replacment ball joint's on ebay that are just the ball joint itself. Has anyone used these ball joints before. I am seelling the car and really don't want to spend 100 dollars on a control arm when I only have to spend 20.

I don't think you can just replace the ball joint.

All one piece with the control arm.

i think those ball joints are for e36 and later models with replaceable ball joints. They wont work on our cars, sorry.

Those are for the E36 chassis.
I'm saving my ally control arms in the hope that they may be rebuilt in the future.
Somebody already mods them and offers them for sale, but I believe the cost is double the price of the original pair.

Boy that is wierd then because alot of people are listing them on ebay as being for e30 applications. Oh well I guess I will just replace the whole arm.

Regular e30 control arms May or may not be rebuildable (they are steel) but the E30M arms(aluminum) are currently not rebuildable, with being reengineered.
