If I've already modified my M3, in order to race it on the 6th is there an option to revert it back to standard trim or do I just buy another one.

It is easy to revert your modified car back to stock specs. Just go into upgrades and flip through the mods selecting the factory spec on the left of each. Later you can then revert back to your modded version by doing the same process and reselecting your mods you purchased.

Stock spec comes out to C407.

Off the wall question: Do you really even need to buy the car in game, or will it simply be a choice when you join the xbox live game?

I joined Live just recently, so my profile is pretty much brand new. My previous profile has loads of cars and cash, but unless I can transfer the car, then I need to work my way up to buying the e30... and that's going to suck.
