    The test driver should be fired for enjoying a stroll in the park and get paid for it. Can't he do this on his own time? He might get a ticket for idling, but..... Where are the eviro wackos for leaving the car running and wasting petrol?

      I dont think that a 'head of product planning for BMW North America' is paid by the hour in fact I dont think he gets paid at all on Sundays...

        Why would anyone entrusted with a prototype from a large auto manufacturer, be stupid enough to leave a high profile vehicle with the engine running in a public place ?
        Especially after last weeks news.

        And if this stunt was an attempt at viral marketing, it wasn't big, and it wasn't funny.

          I was in NY at the weekend and the place felt very jumpy, i was aware of two other security alerts that happened, likely nothing found.

          Did see some of the cars finish the Gumball 3000 rally in Time Square on Saturday, sadly no E30 M3s, but one M5 Touring... Sadly no pics
