S65 V8 in E30

Not sure if you guys noticed, but the S65 motor is not the E39 M5 motor. It's the E9X 4.0L motor. Just clarifying of course.

The end of an era the S65 is, damn shame. :(

The S65 is the last normally aspirated M motor for the forseeable future. Love to take the whole drivetrain, 6 speed and all and hack it into my car. It is a cut down version of the V10 in the M5, just like our motors in essence.


This swap is on my midlife crisis list.

S65 is doable, places in the uk and europe reflash the ecu to run stand alone, but s62 is easier as it fits. The s65 has the sump bowl in the wrong place.
