    • Clean it is, but it also bores me as well. I like to mod my cars but this car is tricky for me since i'm not sure if I want to start goin with evo aero toys or not. What I really want is something difrent wheel styling wise (don't we all) but I'm not trying to throw my investment out the window especially if I bite the bullet for a VAC 2.5 soon. I know I wont ever see that $ back.

Yeah Supercharged Hondas can be silly. Although Comptechs S2ks and NSXs are world class tunercars, regularly besting all competition. Anyone see the best Motoring American Touge Video?

I like the idea of a supercharged S14 just to keep response liner (if you must go forced induction) although Im an N/A S14 fan i'm a huge boost junky in my past endeavors.

86..if you want it bad enough you will get those twins. Hanbuilt got E46 power on the way...it was only a matter off time. Twin turbos..crazy as that may sound..hey an acquaintance of mine has a tripple turbo supra...lol :nahnah:

      ----Here is a question?

Anyone have a turbo kit installed fully by a tuning shop that they would like to share?

        Ford Mustang 5.0

        Ford Mustang 4.6

Depends on what you using to drive the injectors, depends on the EMS.

                project86,

I thought you were going radical? If so, 42 pounders are way too small if you're still shooting for 500+ hp. My buddy run over 500, and he runs 92 lb/hr at about 70% duty cycle. My Wolf EMS dealer races a Porsche 944T with 500 wheel HP, and his 92 lb injectors are going static (100% duty). Personally, I'm getting either 82s or 92s...

You can't really run the advertised ones at 4 bar, because that means you'd have to up the fuel pressure to 5.5 bar to compensate for manifold pressure at the boost required to make 500+ hp.

If you run sequantial injection, the injectors can still be made to idle fine due to the longer single "squirt". Keep in mind that with high-horsepower turbo extra fuel is often used for cooling to avoid detonation.

                • I am going to run 8 of these things on a dtm style airbox. I think that will help with low rpm flow because I will be driving this thing on the street sometimes.

                  • project86,

Megasquirt runs high impedance injectors as standard but if you use the flyback board it will allow you to use low impedance ones. Megasquirt will run 8 injectors as well and you can have them staged as well!!! How cool!!!

I really wanna see a twin turbo set-up as well!!
                    I'm dropping the hammer!!!!!

How are you going to hold those pressures with a CF airbox? the connections to the TB's are not very robust.

                      • I was going to use stainless runners (I think they are called runners, whatever goes from the box to the throttles) to attach the throttles. I am going to make the box myself and I want to use 50mm+ throttle bodies.

                        • Also what is the best version of Megasquirt for this type of application. Would V2.2 be good or should I get a later version.

                          • I'm not a M3 or turbo guru by any means, but I believe that using a single hybrid turbo for a 4 banger is much better than using twinturbos. Having said that... the supercharger + turbo route intrigues me.

On a side note, wasn't the S14 engine derived from BMW's formula 1 engine when it was turbo charged? So although the S14 was never officially turbo charged by BMW, it's grandparents certainly were turboed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

                            • Excoriar, the Turbo F1 engine used the same block and had a displacement of 1.5l

The F1 engine was actually built on the M10 block, and still used successfully by dragracers in Finland:
