      Hey Patrick,
      What is the chassis number?

It would be in the windshield scuttle, imprinted into the scuttle on the flat part.
It would read M3 1 XXX

When I started restoring my car that was the #1 piece of information that helped.
There is a gentleman named Alex Elliot in the UK who is VERY knowledgable about the origins of each BMW Motorsport shell, where it went first etc.
      I do not think he's a member here, but I know he's a member of John's S14power forum.

There is also a very very knowledgable group on the Ten Tenths forum in the Vintage area who seem to have alot of insider info as to where these shells started and then progressed to. The Historic forum is here:

I dont stop in there as much as I should but you can spend hours reading historic E30 M3 threads.

Also, Nigel Mosely was very helpful to me in the first days I had my car.

I think first up you need to find the chassis number and start there.
      Nice looking car.

I might have some info on this Linder car if you can take a picture of the Linder build plate on the right strut tower. I thought it had a british ownership history.
