  • Another tire question......... 225 50 ZR 15

My tires are about 11 yrs old now, so I thought I should start looking into getting some new ones. Are down to the wear bars.
But, I see they are no longer produced. Mich Pilot Exalto PE2 Tread wear 240.
It was the perfect size with 15" K1's, Eibach RR springs and Bilstein shocks.

What other sizes would work with these wheels / set up?

One more, If I went back to the stock width /off set rims, what size tires would be close to the ones above.
Also, am sold on Michelin tires, which limits things............

    after

Stock is 205/55/15. A plus 0 would be 225/50/15 which works well on 15x7 wheels. Sizes are very limited in anything under 17" these days.

    88 M3 - LACHSSILBER/M TECH
    89 M3 - ALPINEWEISS II/SCHWARZ
    89 M3 - SEPANG BRONZE/SCHWARZ
    91 M TECHNIC TURBO - MACAOBLAU/M TECH

      Thanks! (I know, very limited)
Wow, they don't make tires for my car! LOL LOL
      Guess I am getting old...............
So now I have to buy crappy tires or buy 17 inch wheels? Great........

In 205/55/15 I found more variety like Yoko S drive, Dunlop Direzza, Kumho but in 225/50/15 nothing but competition tires Toyo. Falken used to make 225/50/15 but I guess they stopped. You would have to shop around.

I switched to 17's long ago for the street. They look better on the M3 and there are plenty of tires available.
