New rims

Had some custom work rims done out of New Zealand. V good workmanship. Light weight. Room for the big brakes and some big rubber out back. 17x9/8. ET25/15. Took 4 months to get them, but worth the wait!

Pretty cool! I like the idea of that. Did you come up w/ the design, or have the fabricator modify an existing design to your specs?

They are off the shelf, not my design, but all the specs are able to be customised with them as they use blanks just with different centre thicknesses.
Weights were the main concern. They are a little heavier than they told me they would be, but light enough for my purposes and stupidly lighter than the racing dynamic ones I was using. The 8" are 7.5kgs and the rears are 8.5kgs. For a forged 2 piece rim strong enough for the track, pretty good. I could have gone ligther with a thinner outer rim, but the strength decreases too much.

do you have more pics/info on the brembo setup your running, that is not the standard caliper and rotor used on in the e30 m3 kits :P

Mate those wheels look great, nice work. I saw "The" car out at Andrews the other day, must have been waiting for the wheels to come in. What kind of $$$ are we talking here for the rims?

Good eyes. They are Work Meister S1s.
Re the brakes, I don't have other pics. They too are custom and fitment was not easy though. They are DBA rotors 345mmx32mm, 2 piece with alloy hats, and the calipers are front and rear brembos off an EVOVIII lancer. Pulls it up nice and tight with under 2,400lbs to play with!
As to the rim cost - big $$$ Az. Like with everything on our cars...

Sweet! Works S1 & S2s were wheels I was considering as a replacement for the ACS. They are awesome rock solid Japanese forged rims. Works offers a lot of customization for their wheels. It just takes a long time to get them.

You should have gotten the 3 pcs version for not much more. And since you custom ordered them you should have gotten lower offsets/wider wheels/more dish for the looks but they still look good!
