  • 17" BBS RS lip specs

For those of you who have purchased aftermarket (Kodiak, etc.) lips for your RS wheels with the larger 17" centers, what lip ID and bolt circle diameter did you specify? I just want to verify my measurements of 331 and 347 mm, respectively.

Note: By lip ID, I'm referring to the part of the lip that interfaces with the center of the wheel.

    Thanks!

    Should be 13 1/4" IIRC

      13 1/4" = 336.55 mm

That is definately too big. Anybody have their Kodiak ordering form handy?

I have ordered 5 sets of lips from Kodiak.
You either have 12" or 13" centers.
It has been a few years since my last set, I would PM spasticdwarf on Bimmerforusm and ask him.

Why would one be larger than the other?

If you have the larger centers for the 16 inch RS's can't you run 17 inch barrels?

            bumping this question.

trying to determine if the 16" RS centers are the same as the 17" RS centers, and if they simply use different barrels.

anybody know if I can build two different wheel diameters using the same size RS centers?

there are 2 different versions of the 8,5x17 ET 13 wheels around
              1) RS 198 these ones use 16 inch centres and the outer dish and inner barrel makes them up to a 17 inch wheel
              2) RS 212 these ones have real 17 inch centres
the dishes and barrels from these wheels DON'T fit on the RS 198 wheels.

Are you sure kodiak still makes these. 6 months ago they said they weren't making them anymore. Being they are total assholes anyway I never bothered to call back.
