i see moms getting groceries in older e39 5 series, with 17" BBS RS's on them. i was under the impression they were available as an option through the dealer. :iamright:

The e39 5 series bbs wheels are not bbs rs. they have a different lip to them.

Markus used to have a set of 3-piece ACT SC wheels. But BBS RS has NEVER been an option on any BMW. Ever.
The wheels on the e39 5 serie are 2-piece wheels I believe.

Didn't the Euro cars come with the option of 16" BBS RS wheels ?

I couple years ago I saw a set at a local junk yard that had been taken off a wrecked BMW. Bolt pattern and offset was perfect for our cars. Wheels were in pretty much perfect condition, and they were asking $700 for all four. I probably could have got them for $500.

It took me about two hours to decide I should move, and by then they were gone.

                        Sniff....... :sosad:

The wheels on the Evo were 1 piece wheels that were called RZ I think. Anyway, 17" BBS RS wheels look good on an M3

The Evo/Cecotto wheels are unique to BMW, but built by BBS. So that means they are not RZ, RY, RS, RX or RN...

No 'regular' BBS wheels was an option for the E30 M3. Just the factory 16 inch in 7,5J ET27 could be ordered as an option in Europe..
