Sorry Lee, you missed it. That 50th event was two months ago. It was supposed to be the "last" BMWCCA ofest. They are going to be doing something different in California next year. TBD.

Yes, and that will be difficult. My point was that there are BMW events already that we could possibly work with for a dedicated run group. Or at least join with to make sigfest more than just a car...

BMWCCA NJ chapter holds a two day HPDE/Club Race on Summit Point Main every year in July. There are usually a few E30M3's there anyway. Perhaps we could pile on to that event.

I agree completely. Tracks were there first. People bought houses knowingly near tracks. Then complained about the noise. Sheesh....

yup. tool in use per first post and it is in the lower jack handle in post #5 picture. even with the right tools this one took a lot of force to break free....

for closure...I took the struts apart again and replaced the 9mm upper spring pads with new 3mm pads. the taller rear and shorter front pads did the trick. measured from the ground to top of wheel...

Think a key was following a suggestion from JimmyP. I drilled a small hole in the nut to the threads. Helped blaster soak in deeper.

victory! it took two days of soaking in pb pblaster, heat, and two breaker bars to get off. geez.
jack handles are wonderful tools....it is good to have a few laying around...
