Thanks guys.. I wound up bolting the tranny and the header and starter while the engine was out - orders of magnitude easier to do while it’s out!
I used a strap (don’t have a leveler)...

I changed these a few years ago and when you order from BMW you will get the green relay. You can break off the middle prong if you want - doesn’t matter cause it works either way.

Tips for engine installation
Finally got my engine back and will be putting her in ASAP.. I am planning on bolting the tranny first and putting them in together. I was wondering if I should also bolt on the exhaust manifold before...2 Photos

Ive have Evans Waterless coolant in my rebuilt 318iS - love it. Presently rebuilding my S14 and will use only Evans Waterless coolant once complete. No water, no pressure, no problems.

I changed mine when I bought the car.. while a PITA to access - changing the tank was easy and actually cheap - 190$. Spektra (built in Montreal) builds replacement tanks for e30s (same in both cars)....

Wound up ordering the Lucas Oem replacements from fiveomotorsport. Seems the best option by far..
