On a RHD converted car, the steel rack (early 325?) started weeping (no rubbing issues at all on 16" rims 225 tyres) so I changed it for a later Aluminium...

Think this head is past the epoxy repair stage as the corrosion has gone into the metal fire ring now judging by the photos. Although if it was just around the water passages it possibly would tidy it...

Although the corrosion looks nasty its all repairable just needs cutting into and welding up and the head resurfaced (fly cut) Used to see the same on the 6 cyl e30`s from lack of inhibitor or wrong ...

That's interesting, a Twin Mass Flywheel? You normally find that sort of plate on an automatic transmission where the flexiplate bolts onto the crank....
